wordpress review

Hi all,

I have just been asked what I think of wordpress and the sites it creates.
Do any of you have any experience with it? Care to pass on your knowledge?

Thanks,

Carolyn

I toyed with moving my site onto an established CMS / blog tool, and out
of all the ones I reviewed, WordPress was the one that most closely met my
needs. It produces really nice code and has just the sort of features I
wanted: comments, trackback, feeds, etc.

Unfortunately it had some drawbacks: only supports MySQL, integration of
blog and static content isn't quite as seamless as I'd like.

So I've gone down the road of writing my own CMS. I doubt it will be
finished for several months, but long-term I feel it's the best solution
for me.

But WordPress came close.
