Where does this SRC come from?
To all:
I received an e-mail with a video in it (or perhaps it's an animated GIF). I want to save the video but every time I do a 'COPY' I cannot subsequently paste (the PASTE is grayed out). So I right-click the image and do a VIEW SOURCE, as shown below. The small video clip seems to come from the directive "src="image001.gif"". Where is it getting image001.gif from? I searched my entire local hard drive and can't find anything with that name, even in the Temporary Internet Files folder. So where does the video clip or animated GIF originate from??? It's embedded in the email. And you probably can save it. The email might have a js lockout or something, or it might be Flash, but save the email as a separate file and then open it and try to save the pic. If "paste" is blacked-out, try ctrl-V. Possibly you need to disable/customize your javascript, but I've never seen that locally with mail. -- Neredbojias Contrary to popular belief, it is believable. |
Re: Where does this SRC come from?
Still can't do it.
Is there an application that anyone knows of that will take an e-mail message that is saved in your file system (ie: MyMessage.msg) in NTFS and decompose it into what it consists of, ie: MIME content, message body, etc, etc. If this MIME thing is embedded within the message there seems to be no way to get at it with Microsoft Outlook.
