J2ME: javac: target release 1.1. conflicts with default source release 1.5
I have installed Java 1.5 and MIDP 1.0.3. When I use the J2ME
Wireless Toolkit and hit the "Build" button to build the project
I get the following error:
javac: target release 1.1. conflicts with default source release 1.5
Any idea how come I am getting this? Should I downgrade my JDK?
Or perhaps upgrade to MIDP 2.0 (which among other things has SSL
support, which is missing in MIDP 1.0).
Re: J2ME: javac: target release 1.1. conflicts with default source release 1.5
I solved this problem by downgrading to JDK 1.4.2
and updating the corresponding Path and CLASSPATH
variables on WinXP:
$ javac -target 1.1 -bootclasspath \
$ preverify -cldc -classpath %MIDP_HOME%\classes;. -d . Hello
$ midp -classpath . Hello
